The other risk factors which can cause cervical cancer include weakened immune system, having children at a young age, giving birth to many children, long term use of the contraceptive pill can cause the risk of developing cervical cancer. Symptoms

Cervical cancer may not cause any signs or symptoms in the beginning, but in the latter stages can cause vaginal bleedings or discharge that is not normal, like bleeding after the vaginal intercourse. If you find any of the above symptoms, visit your doctor to know if that is cervical cancer.

If you are a cervical cancer patient, consult any gynecologist oncologist who can treat cancers of women’s reproductive system. This doctor will create a treatment plan for you. Identifying the extent of the disease and the information about the size of the cancer and how far the virus has been spread has to be determined to plan treatment. The cervical cancer can be treated in many ways depending on the kind of cancer and how far the virus is spread. Treatments include radiation therapy, chemotherapy and surgery, ask your doctor for the advice and get the right treatment.
